Your images

Your images are never uploaded. KuConvert has no upload endpoint and no image storage. When you add files to the converter, your browser reads them from your device, decodes them using the image codecs your browser already includes, re-encodes them in the format you chose, and hands the results back to you. Every one of those steps happens on your own machine.

Converted files are held in your browser’s memory until you clear the queue, navigate away or close the tab. Nothing is written to disk unless you download it, and your original files are never modified.

What the page loads

The page loads its own HTML, CSS, JavaScript, icons and fonts from this domain. There is no advertising and no embedded fonts from third parties.

The one third party is Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It records which pages are opened and which features are used, and it sets its own cookies to recognise a returning browser. It never receives your images, your filenames or anything derived from them, because none of that leaves your device for it to send.

A Content Security Policy is served with every response that names every origin the page is allowed to contact. Google’s analytics domains are the only external ones on that list; everything else is blocked outright. That restriction is enforced by your browser rather than simply promised by us, and you can verify it in your browser’s network tools.

Server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers this page keeps ordinary web request logs. Those records can include your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, your browser and operating system version, and the referring page. They are used to keep the service running and secure.

These logs never contain your images, your filenames, or anything about what you converted, because none of that information is ever sent to the server.

Metadata in converted files

Converting an image rebuilds it from its pixels, so EXIF data, GPS coordinates, camera settings and colour profiles are not carried into the output file. If you need that metadata, keep your original.

Children

KuConvert does not ask for personal information and never receives the files you convert. Analytics measures page and feature use only, and is not used to build a profile of any visitor, child or adult.

Changes

If the architecture ever changes in a way that affects any statement on this page, this page will be updated to match before the change ships.
